(The crazy wedding planning process, we mean!). We know that planning a wedding is A LOT, but when you arrive at Change of A Dress, the goal is for you to feel completely relaxed. We have FUN here! We work with everyone - no matter your gender, size, background, or sexual orientation, you are welcome and celebrated here! As long as you have a dress, we'll alter it to fit your beautiful body AND make it feel comfortable on your wedding day.

While bartending to pay off my student loans, I met a woman who was in the bridal alterations business and she was looking for an assistant. I sent her an email and within the week, I was hired and working on dresses. She was a great mentor and I learned a lot about how to run a business, but I also learned what not to do.
I made many mistakes when I started out but it was a great learning experience. A lot of the dresses we worked on came from the same boutique next door to us. The owner designed the gowns herself so I was well versed in how they were constructed. After doing this for around 5 years, my longterm boyfriend and I made the move to Fort Collins Colorado, where I decided to open my own studio for alterations. We found a house that I can use to run my business out of and I have worked my way from 6 clients a year to 275+ a year and growing. I also get a lot of clients from Wyoming and South Dakota because I am the closest seamstress in this type of area; Northern Colorado/ Front Range.

Anything and everything your wedding dress may need.
From alterations, to pressing and steaming of your dress and veil! I also do custom Bridal designs, Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride/Groom, Flower Girl, and a few minor Women’s Suit alterations. Once you have filled out an inquiry form via the contact page, you will be contacted within 24 hours to book your first fitting. You will choose from three fitting packages, review and sign my contract, then pay your fitting package invoice deposit. From there, an email will be sent with a link to book your first fitting at your leisure!
